Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Xntara uses cookies and similar technologies on xntara.com and related properties. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDKs that store or read identifiers. They help sites function, remember preferences, maintain secure sessions, and — if you allow — understand how the Site is used.
2. Who sets cookies
First-party cookies are set by Xntara domains. Third-party cookies may be set by providers we use (for example analytics, tag management, or embedded media) when enabled. Third parties process data under their own policies as well as our instructions where they act as processors.
3. Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required for core functionality, security, load distribution, network management, and storing your cookie choices. These do not require consent in most jurisdictions.
- Functional / preference — remember language, UI state, dismissed banners, and similar choices to improve experience.
- Analytics / performance — help us understand aggregated traffic, popular pages, and errors (for example via tag managers or analytics tools when configured). Used only if permitted by your choice or applicable law.
- Marketing — if enabled in future campaigns, may measure ad performance or remarketing. Not used without a lawful basis (typically consent in the EEA/UK).
4. Cookie categories in detail
| Category | Purpose | Examples of storage | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, consent log, basic site ops | Cookie preference flag (e.g. xntara_cookie), session integrity | Session to 12 months |
| Functional | Language UI, promo dismiss, preferences | Language preference (xntara_lang), promo keys | Session to 12 months |
| Analytics | Aggregated usage statistics when enabled | Analytics IDs via GTM/analytics (if configured) | Per vendor (often 1–24 months) |
| Trading session | Authenticated Platform session (when logged in) | Secure session cookies / tokens managed by the Platform | Session or policy-based expiry |
Exact cookie names and vendors may change as we update the stack. The banner and this policy describe categories; a detailed vendor list can be provided on request to privacy@xntara.com.
5. How to manage cookies
On the Site: Where a cookie banner is shown, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored so we do not re-prompt every visit (until you clear storage or the preference expires).
In your browser: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Site or login flows to fail.
Mobile OS / app settings: Device-level tracking controls may limit certain advertising identifiers. Platform apps may use local storage for session security independent of website cookies.
Global Privacy Control / signals: Where legally required, we will honour recognised opt-out signals for sale/share of personal information as defined under applicable US state laws, to the extent we engage in such activities.
6. Platform and logged-in use
When you log in to the Xntara trading platform, additional strictly necessary cookies or tokens are used to keep you signed in, protect against CSRF, and enforce security policies. These are essential to providing the service you request and are not used as optional marketing cookies.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or vendors change. Check the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
